El Salvador Church, Nerja
Situated at the Balcon de Europa in the centre of Nerja, El Salvador is a popular choice for wedding ceremonies.

The 17th century Church of El Salvador – Iglesia El Salvador – is situated on the edge of the Balcón de Europa and close to what used to be the old Guards Tower.
The original church was erected in 1505, although the existing structure was not actually built until much later, in 1697, and it was then further extended during the period 1776 – 1792.
The church is constructed as a three-naved cross, the central area covered with a wooden framework of paired braces, the sides featuring vaulted edges at the ends and half barrel vaults with windows in the remainder.
​On the front of the church are two quite large and typical ceramic tile plaques, one detailing the history of the church, the other a rather beautiful and colourful religious scene.

San Antonio de Padua, Frigiliana
​Known as the mountains that kisses the sea on the Costa del Sol, only 10 minutes away from beautiful Nerja. There is only one Chapel in Frigiliana, which is central to the stunning white village over looking the mountains and the sea.  Civil registries are also held within the white village  at the registry office.  The ceremony is generally without communion, although you can receive communion during the ceremony on request. The times depends on the time of the year and other commitments in the church.  Generally in the hot summer months,  ceremonies commence between 13:00hrs and 18:00hrs. 

A village close to Nerja which is hanging from the mountain, white houses and narrow streets, make of Frigiliana a place to visit if you come to Nerja. A village that has consistently won awards to that effect. Including being voted as the ‘prettiest village in Andalusia’ by the Spanish tourism authority.
